So far 2012 is off to a good start for catching some of the local wildlife on film. We wanted to share a few of our recent visitors with you but hopefully at some point you will be here to experience this without needing a camera! For a larger view you can click the images.
This egret was pruning himself for awhile behind the house until I got a bit too close but I was able to get a few takeoff shots! Notice his legs as he pushed off to get airborne.

Our next guest was a bit of a surprise as we had not seen him previously and he was literally hanging out in a tree not 10 feet from our house. After chewing on a few berries he decided to depart head first to see what else was around to eat.

We often see these next two at Sabal Beach although it is rare to catch even one of them for a picture so I was glad to be able to get them both together.

These yellow headed parrots were 2 of about 6 total that were making so much noise I was almost afraid to go see what was going on! Luckily they seemed to just be conversing with each other.

If you are looking for a unique Belize vacation in a totally relaxed and natural setting then hopefully we will see you in the future.
