Sabal Beach, Ltd., an eco-tourism hotel in southern Belize, is officially open for business.   As the only licensed hotel in Punta Negra, Belize Sabal Beach opens up an area of the country previously inaccessible to all but the heartiest tourists for overnight accommodation.

Situated on a 12 mile stretch of beach which runs from Monkey River to Punta Ycacos in southern Belize Sabal Beach is located on the last undeveloped beach in the country.  The property is nestled between the Port of Honduras Marine Reserve to the front and the Paynes Creek National Park to the rear.  It is not often one has the chance to stay in the middle of miles of protected land and sea without breaking out the camping gear.

Available for rent are two self-catering studio apartments fully outfitted and furnished.  Sabal Beach provides all the comforts of home for guests including full kitchens, queen sized beds, private baths with hot water, a manicured beach and limited internet and phone access for those that simply can not leave the office behind.

From Sabal Beach the Snake Cayes are a quick trip and the Sapodilla Cayes and the barrier reef are an easy ride. Also local to Sabal Beach one can explore and fish Deep River, Monkey River, the Punta Negra freshwater lagoons and Golden Stream either by boat or kayak.  Behind the property you will find some of the best areas for lowland birding in the country with miles of savannah punctuated by pine groves and two large fresh water lagoons.

In short if you enjoy snorkeling, SCUBA diving, fishing, kayaking, or just sitting on the beach and enjoying a cocktail without being surrounded by crowds Sabal Beach is an ideal location.
